Rate Limits

Every API key has two monthly allowances: a request count and a bandwidth (bytes returned) limit. Both reset at the start of each calendar month, and hitting either one blocks further requests until the reset or an upgrade.

What happens at the limit

Requests over either allowance return 429 Too Many Requests:

Tracking your usage

The usage dashboard shows requests and bandwidth per key and per day, including an endpoint-level breakdown, so you can see exactly where your allowance goes.
